Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DS-01 is a multi-strain synbiotic developed by Seed Health, designed to support gastrointestinal and systemic health. It contains a proprietary blend of 24 probiotic strains across 12 species, including *Lactobacillus* and *Bifidobacterium*, paired with a non-fermentable prebiotic (punicalagins) derived from Indian pomegranate. The product utilizes a specialized capsule-in-capsule delivery system (ViaCap) to ensure the live microorganisms survive transit through the stomach and reach the colon. DS-01 is being investigated in clinical trials for its impact on fecal metagenomic stability, gut barrier integrity, and symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), particularly the constipation-predominant (IBS-C) and mixed (IBS-M) subtypes.
