Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DS-1 is a linear polyethylenimine-nitric oxide/nucleophile adduct, functioning as a water-soluble nitric oxide donor. Preclinically, it has demonstrated potent vasorelaxant properties and the ability to attenuate endotoxin-induced acute lung injury in sheep by reducing pulmonary hypertension and edema, and improving myocardial function and gas exchange. DS-1 is also undergoing clinical investigation in combination with cadonilimab for the treatment of localized advanced gastric cancer.
