DS-1150b

DS-1150b is an investigational small molecule drug developed by Daiichi Sankyo for the treatment of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. It is currently in Phase I clinical trials. Preclinical studies indicate that DS-1150b promotes GLUT4 translocation in L6-myotubes (rat muscle cells) and demonstrates a glucose-lowering effect in oral glucose tolerance tests, suggesting its mechanism involves enhancing insulin-mediated glucose uptake into muscle tissue[1][2]. The drug is being evaluated for safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics following single oral doses in both healthy subjects and those with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus[1][2].
