Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DST-2105 is a first-in-class, long-acting artificial tear candidate developed by DelSiTech for the treatment of dry eye disease (keratoconjunctivitis sicca). The product utilizes DelSiTech's proprietary Silica Matrix technology, a biodegradable sol-gel based delivery system that enables the sustained release of lubricants on the ocular surface. This formulation is designed to overcome the limitations of conventional eye drops, which typically require frequent daily dosing due to rapid nasolacrimal drainage. Phase 1 clinical studies have evaluated the safety, tolerability, and usability of the Silica Eye Drop formulation in human subjects, demonstrating its potential as a long-acting therapeutic option for ocular surface lubrication.
