DT-1 is a mouse monoclonal antibody that specifically targets **CD157**, also known as **Bone Marrow Stromal Cell Antigen 1 (BST-1)**. CD157 is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored protein and ectoenzyme (ADP-ribosyl cyclase) expressed on bone marrow stromal cells, synovial nurse-like cells, and certain leukocytes. In the context of **rheumatoid arthritis (RA)**, CD157 on nurse-like cells (NLCs) interacts with B cells to promote their survival and prevent apoptosis. The DT-1 antibody has been used in research to block these interactions, demonstrating the role of CD157 in B-cell hyperreactivity and the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases. While primarily used as a research tool to characterize BST-1 function, the targeting of CD157 is also being explored in oncology, particularly in acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
