DT-301 is a small molecule positive allosteric modulator (PAM) that selectively targets the α2 and α3 subunits of the gamma-aminobutyric acid type A (GABAA) receptor. Developed by Draig Therapeutics, the compound is currently in preclinical development for undisclosed neuropsychiatric indications. By focusing on the α2 and α3 subunits, DT-301 is designed to achieve therapeutic effects in the central nervous system while potentially minimizing the sedation, ataxia, and potential for abuse typically associated with non-selective GABAA receptor modulators, such as benzodiazepines, which also act on the α1 subunit.
