DT2-SCT is an autologous cell therapy consisting of adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (AD-MSCs) developed by GIOSTAR. The therapy is designed to treat Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) by leveraging the immunomodulatory and regenerative properties of stem cells to reduce insulin resistance and improve glycemic control. The treatment process involves collecting adipose tissue from the patient via liposuction, isolating and processing the stem cells, and then re-administering them through a single intravenous infusion. The goal of the therapy is to decrease systemic inflammation and improve the metabolic profile of patients, potentially reducing the need for exogenous insulin or oral glucose-lowering medications.
