Overview

DT678 is a novel, orally active P2Y12 receptor antagonist being developed by Beijing SL Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. for the treatment and prevention of atherothrombotic events. It is primarily being investigated for use in patients with non-ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndrome (NSTE-ACS), including unstable angina and non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI), particularly those undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). The drug works by selectively inhibiting the P2Y12 subtype of adenosine diphosphate (ADP) receptors on the platelet surface, thereby preventing platelet activation and aggregation. DT678 is currently in Phase 2 clinical development, where it is being evaluated for its efficacy and safety compared to standard antiplatelet therapies like clopidogrel.
