DTaP-Hib-IPV-Novartis Vaccines-meningococcal group B infection refers to a clinical trial regimen involving the co-administration of Novartis's multicomponent meningococcal serogroup B vaccine (4CMenB, brand name Bexsero) alongside a routine pediatric combination vaccine (DTaP-Hib-IPV). Bexsero is a recombinant protein vaccine containing four primary antigens: factor H binding protein (fHbp), Neisserial adhesin A (NadA), Neisseria heparin binding antigen (NHBA), and outer membrane vesicles (OMV) from the NZ98/254 strain. It is designed to elicit bactericidal antibodies against Neisseria meningitidis serogroup B. The DTaP-Hib-IPV component is a pentavalent vaccine providing protection against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, Haemophilus influenzae type b, and poliomyelitis. This specific co-administration protocol was evaluated in Phase 2 studies to assess the safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity of the MenB vaccine when integrated into the standard infant immunization schedule.
