Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DTaP-poliomyelitis combined vaccine (also known as adsorbed DTaP-poliomyelitis combined vaccine or DTaP-IPV) is a combination vaccine being developed by the Beijing Institute of Biological Products (a subsidiary of China National Biotec Group and Sinopharm). It is designed to provide active immunization against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), and poliomyelitis (polio) in infants and children. The vaccine is formulated with diphtheria toxoid, tetanus toxoid, acellular pertussis antigens (such as pertussis toxoid, filamentous hemagglutinin, and pertactin), and inactivated poliovirus types 1, 2, and 3, adsorbed onto an aluminum-based adjuvant to enhance immunogenicity. It is currently in clinical development in China.
