Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DTcP vaccine is a combination vaccine candidate being developed by AIM Honesty for the prevention of diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis. Currently in the preclinical stage, the vaccine formulation consists of diphtheria and tetanus toxoids combined with whole-cell pertussis (cellular) antigens. Unlike acellular pertussis vaccines, this cellular approach utilizes inactivated whole *Bordetella pertussis* bacteria to stimulate a robust and broad immune response. The vaccine is designed to induce active immunity against the toxins produced by *Corynebacterium diphtheriae* and *Clostridium tetani*, as well as the *Bordetella pertussis* pathogen itself.
