DTP-Hib is a combination vaccine candidate developed by AIM Vaccine Co. designed to protect against four major pediatric infectious diseases: diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) infections. The vaccine formulation integrates diphtheria toxoid, tetanus toxoid, pertussis vaccine components, and a Haemophilus influenzae type b conjugate vaccine into a single injection. Its mechanism of action involves inducing active immunity by stimulating the production of protective antibodies and potentially cellular immune responses against the toxins and surface antigens of the targeted pathogens. Currently in the preclinical research stage, this vaccine is part of AIM Vaccine's bacterial vaccine platform and aims to simplify immunization schedules by reducing the number of required injections for infants and children.
