The DTwP-IPV vaccine is a combination vaccine containing diphtheria toxoid, tetanus toxoid, whole-cell pertussis (wP) antigens, and inactivated poliovirus (IPV) components. Developed and produced by the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) in the Netherlands, it was historically used in the Dutch National Immunisation Programme (NIP) for infant primary vaccination. As a biologic vaccine, it targets the immune system to elicit protective antibody responses against *Bordetella pertussis* (whooping cough), *Corynebacterium diphtheriae* (diphtheria), *Clostridium tetani* (tetanus), and poliovirus. It has since been largely replaced in the Dutch NIP by acellular pertussis-containing combination vaccines (such as DTaP-IPV/Hib).
