Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Dulodent is a branded formulation of duloxetine, a serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI), marketed by Ardent Life Sciences. It is an oral small molecule primarily indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder. Duloxetine works by binding to and inhibiting the serotonin transporter (SERT) and the norepinephrine transporter (NET) in the central nervous system, thereby increasing the synaptic concentrations of these neurotransmitters. This dual action helps to alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety. Dulodent is available in 20 mg and 30 mg tablet strengths for oral administration.
