duloxetine + venlafaxine

Duloxetine + venlafaxine is a combination of two serotonin–norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs), each used individually to treat major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and certain pain conditions. Both drugs act by inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine in the central nervous system, thereby increasing their levels and enhancing neurotransmission. Duloxetine is also approved for neuropathic pain, fibromyalgia, and stress urinary incontinence; venlafaxine is additionally indicated for panic disorder and social anxiety disorder. The combination of these two SNRIs is not standard clinical practice due to a high risk of serious adverse effects such as serotonin syndrome[1][2][5]. There are no known fixed-dose or branded pharmaceutical products containing both agents together.
