Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Dun Ye Guan Xin Ning is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) product derived from the rhizome of *Dioscorea zingiberensis* C.H. Wright. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of coronary artery disease (CAD) and stable angina pectoris. The therapeutic effect is attributed to its high content of steroidal saponins, particularly diosgenin-type saponins, which possess potent anti-platelet and vasodilatory properties. By inhibiting platelet aggregation and relaxing vascular smooth muscle, the drug enhances coronary blood flow and reduces myocardial oxygen consumption. It is manufactured as a tablet and has been the subject of clinical registries in China to evaluate its efficacy across various patient subgroups.
