Overview

DUO-209 is a novel ultrasmall nanomedicine developed as an azacytidine prodrug for cancer therapy. It is designed to enhance tumor targeting and uptake through the formation of a fibronectin-enriched protein corona, which facilitates improved delivery and penetration into tumors. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that DUO-209 exhibits immune-mediated mechanisms of action and can overcome known drug resistance in cancer models. The drug is being developed by Duo Oncology for indications including neoplasms (notably breast and ovarian cancers), endocrinology/metabolic diseases, skin/musculoskeletal diseases, leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and myelodysplastic syndromes[1][2][7].
