Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Duoact Trio is a fixed-dose combination medication developed and marketed by Healthon Lifesciences for the management of pain and inflammation. It contains three active ingredients: aceclofenac (100 mg), paracetamol (325 mg), and trypsin-chymotrypsin (100,000 AU). Aceclofenac and paracetamol are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) that inhibit cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins that mediate pain and inflammatory responses. Trypsin-chymotrypsin is a mixture of proteolytic enzymes that aids in the resolution of inflammation and edema by breaking down abnormal proteins and fibrin at the site of injury. Duoact Trio is indicated for the treatment of various musculoskeletal conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis, as well as for acute pain management and post-operative recovery. It is available as an oral tablet in the Indian market.
