Overview

DUOFAG® is an investigational phage cocktail developed by the Czech company MB PHARMA s.r.o. [3, 9] It is a biological medicine formulated as a cutaneous liquid containing bacteriophages that are active against the bacteria *Staphylococcus aureus* and *Pseudomonas aeruginosa*. [1, 9] The product is being developed for the topical treatment of surgical site infections, wound dehiscence, and complicated or chronic wounds caused by these pathogens. [1, 8, 10] It works by using the bacteriophages to specifically target and destroy the bacteria through lysis. [9]
