dupilumab

Dupilumab is a fully human monoclonal antibody of the IgG4 subclass that targets and inhibits the interleukin‑4 receptor alpha subunit (IL‑4Rα), thereby blocking signaling of both interleukin‑4 (IL‑4) and interleukin‑13 (IL‑13), two key cytokines involved in type 2 inflammation. By inhibiting these pathways, dupilumab reduces inflammatory responses associated with several allergic and atopic diseases. It is indicated for moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis, asthma with an eosinophilic phenotype or oral corticosteroid dependence, chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis, eosinophilic esophagitis, prurigo nodularis, chronic spontaneous urticaria, bullous pemphigoid, and as add-on therapy for certain cases of COPD. Dupilumab was developed by Regeneron Pharmaceuticals and Sanofi[1][3][5][10].
