DuraCAR

DuraCAR is a proprietary chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy platform developed by Immuno-Oncology (I-O) Therapeutics. The platform is designed to produce CAR-T cells with a high proportion of stem cell memory T-cells (Tscm), which are associated with enhanced persistence, self-renewal, and long-term anti-tumor activity in vivo. Unlike traditional CAR-T manufacturing processes that can take several weeks, the DuraCAR platform utilizes a rapid manufacturing protocol (often around 2 days) to minimize T-cell exhaustion and maintain a younger, more potent cellular phenotype. The primary goal of this technology is to overcome the limitations of poor persistence and cellular senescence that frequently lead to disease relapse in patients treated with conventional CAR-T therapies.
