Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DuraGen Plus Adhesion Barrier Matrix is an absorbable, sutureless collagen implant developed by Integra LifeSciences for the repair of dural defects and the prevention of post-surgical adhesions. Composed of bovine-derived Ultra Pure Collagen, the matrix features a uniform pore structure that serves as a scaffold for cell ingrowth and dural regeneration. It acts as a physical barrier between the dura mater and overlying tissues to inhibit peridural fibrosis (scar tissue formation) following cranial and spinal surgical procedures. The matrix is fully resorbed by the body once healing is complete and is applied as an onlay graft, reducing the need for sutures and potentially lowering the incidence of post-operative pain and re-operations.
