Overview
Duramune is a veterinary vaccine line used primarily for the immunization of dogs against several major canine viral diseases. The most common formulations are combination vaccines containing modified live viruses for canine distemper virus, canine adenovirus type 1 (hepatitis), canine adenovirus type 2 (respiratory disease), canine parainfluenza virus, and canine parvovirus. Some formulations also include killed or inactivated components such as canine coronavirus. The vaccine stimulates active immunity by exposing the animal’s immune system to antigens from these pathogens without causing disease. It is indicated for healthy dogs six weeks of age or older and is administered via subcutaneous injection[1][3][4].
