DUSP4 siRNA is a small interfering RNA designed to silence the expression of Dual Specificity Phosphatase 4 (DUSP4). DUSP4 is a member of the dual-specificity protein phosphatase subfamily that typically inactivates mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs). In the context of multiple myeloma (MM), DUSP4 has been identified as a super-enhancer associated gene (SEAG) that is significantly overexpressed and correlates with inferior patient outcomes. By targeting DUSP4 mRNA for degradation through the RNA interference pathway, this siRNA inhibits the growth of myeloma cells, suggesting that DUSP4 acts as an oncogene in this malignancy. This agent is primarily utilized in preclinical research to validate DUSP4 as a viable therapeutic target in hematologic cancers.
