dutogliptin + filgrastim

Dutogliptin + filgrastim is an investigational combination therapy being evaluated for the treatment of patients recovering from ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Dutogliptin is a second-generation small molecule inhibitor of dipeptidyl peptidase-IV (DPP4), which prevents the degradation of stromal cell-derived factor 1α (SDF-1α), a chemokine involved in stem cell homing and tissue repair. Filgrastim, also known as recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF), is a biologic that stimulates the production and mobilization of neutrophils and hematopoietic stem cells from the bone marrow. The combination aims to enhance endogenous cardiac repair mechanisms by increasing circulating progenitor cells and improving myocardial regeneration after heart attack. This approach has been tested in phase 2 clinical trials for safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in restoring left ventricular function post-myocardial infarction[1][3][5].
