Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**DUVAX** is an investigational, adjuvanted dual-target active immunotherapy vaccine for secondary prevention of **Alzheimer's disease**. Developed on the MultiTEP recombinant-protein vaccine platform, it combines amyloid-beta and tau immunogens to induce endogenous antibodies against pathological amyloid-beta species and tau, with the aim of limiting formation, deposition, and accumulation of amyloid plaques and tau aggregates before symptomatic disease develops. DUVAX is licensed and clinically developed by Nuravax following its origin at the Institute for Molecular Medicine; it is being evaluated in a first-in-human randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 1 study in healthy adults.
