Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination regimen of **duvelisib**, an oral dual inhibitor of phosphoinositide 3-kinase delta (PI3K-δ) and gamma (PI3K-γ), and **obinutuzumab**, a glycoengineered humanized anti-CD20 type II monoclonal antibody. Duvelisib blocks PI3K-δ and -γ to inhibit cell proliferation and survival and interfere with the tumor microenvironment in hematologic malignancies. Obinutuzumab targets CD20-expressing B-cells, causing direct cell death and enhanced antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and phagocytosis. The combination is under clinical investigation primarily for **chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL)** and **small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL)**, especially in relapsed or refractory settings or in patients previously treated with Bruton’s tyrosine kinase inhibitors[2][3][4].
