Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DV-PE-Fc is a proteolysis-resistant, Fc-tagged mutant of domain V (DV) of beta-2-glycoprotein I (β2GPI). It is designed as a decoy therapeutic agent for antiphospholipid antibodies (aPLs) to prevent and treat thrombosis in patients with antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) and catastrophic antiphospholipid syndrome (CAPS). By competitively inhibiting the binding of pathogenic aPLs to the β2GPI/cardiolipin complex, DV-PE-Fc suppresses complement activation and tissue factor expression, thereby preventing multiorgan thrombosis without increasing bleeding risk. The Fc tag extends the drug's half-life and increases its stability in circulation.
