Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DVC-01 is a topical small molecule phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) inhibitor developed by Tianjin Pharmaceutical Research Institute Co., Ltd. for the treatment of eczema and atopic dermatitis. By inhibiting the PDE4 enzyme, the drug increases intracellular levels of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP), which in turn modulates the production of various pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines. This mechanism helps to reduce the skin inflammation, pruritus, and redness associated with eczematous conditions. As of recent clinical records, the candidate has progressed into Phase II clinical trials in China, specifically targeting patients with mild-to-moderate atopic dermatitis.
