Overview

DVD-R is a combination drug regimen used for the treatment of relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma (MM). It comprises four active agents: pegylated liposomal doxorubicin (an anthracycline), bortezomib (a proteasome inhibitor), dexamethasone (a corticosteroid), and lenalidomide (an immunomodulatory drug). This multi-agent approach targets various pathways involved in myeloma cell proliferation and survival, aiming to enhance efficacy and tolerability. Clinical studies have demonstrated that the DVD-R regimen is well tolerated and produces high response rates in patients with relapsed/refractory MM.
