**DW-1021** is an oral controlled-release fixed-dose analgesic combination developed by Daewon Pharmaceutical. It contains pelubiprofen, a preferential cyclooxygenase-2-inhibiting nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, and tramadol, a centrally acting opioid analgesic with additional serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake-inhibitory activity. The product has been evaluated in Phase 1 pharmacokinetic studies in healthy adult volunteers, including comparison with separately administered controlled-release pelubiprofen and tramadol products and assessment of food effects.
