Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**DW4421S-T0** is an oral tablet formulation of padoprazan, an investigational small-molecule potassium-competitive acid blocker developed in the DW4421 program. Padoprazan competitively and reversibly inhibits the gastric hydrogen/potassium-transporting ATPase proton pump at its potassium-binding site, suppressing the final step of gastric acid secretion. DW4421S-T0 is being evaluated in a Phase 1 multiple-ascending-dose study in healthy adults; the broader padoprazan program is being developed for gastroesophageal reflux disease, including erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease.
