Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**DW4421S-T3** is a 30 mg oral tablet formulation of padoprazan, a small-molecule potassium-competitive acid blocker developed for gastroesophageal reflux disease. It competitively inhibits the potassium-binding site of the gastric hydrogen-potassium ATPase, producing rapid and potent suppression of gastric acid secretion. The formulation was evaluated as a once-daily, 7-day regimen in cohort 5 of a Phase 1 multiple-ascending-dose study in healthy adults. The broader padoprazan program is being advanced by Daewon Pharmaceutical in South Korea for erosive and non-erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease.
