Overview

DWC20156 is an investigational small molecule drug developed by Daewoong Pharmaceutical, primarily studied as part of a fixed-dose combination with DWC20155 for the treatment of gastritis and gastrointestinal ulcers. The combination (sometimes referred to as DWJ 1366 or DWC20155/DWC20156) has been evaluated in clinical trials for its efficacy and safety in patients with acute or chronic gastritis. The mechanism of action for DWC20156 remains undefined in public sources, and it is classified broadly as an antiulcer agent. Clinical development included phase I pharmacokinetic studies (including drug-drug interaction studies) and phase III efficacy trials; however, the phase III trial in gastritis was terminated due to lack of efficacy[1][3][5].
