DWP14012 + naproxen

DWP14012 + naproxen is a combination therapy consisting of DWP14012 (fexuprazan), a potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB), and naproxen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) of the propionic acid class. Fexuprazan acts by reversibly and competitively inhibiting gastric H^+/K^+-ATPase, leading to suppression of gastric acid secretion, while naproxen is an inhibitor of cyclooxygenase enzymes, primarily COX-1 and COX-2, reducing inflammation and pain. The combination is under investigation to reduce gastric and duodenal ulcer risk caused by NSAID use, leveraging the gastroprotective action of fexuprazan with the analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties of naproxen.
