DWP221 is an investigational small molecule selective estrogen receptor degrader (SERD) being developed by Daewoong Pharmaceutical for the treatment of breast cancer. It is specifically designed to target estrogen receptor-positive (ER+) breast cancer, including cases that have developed resistance to standard endocrine therapies like aromatase inhibitors or tamoxifen.
