DWP820 is an investigational biopharmaceutical candidate being developed by Daewoong Pharmaceutical, in collaboration with its US-based subsidiary Great Bear Pharmaceutical, for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). As a biologic agent, DWP820 is designed to address the progressive scarring and fibrotic changes in lung tissue that characterize IPF. The program is currently in the early stages of development and is part of Daewoong's specialized fibrosis R&D pipeline, which also includes the small-molecule prolyl-tRNA synthetase (PRS) inhibitor bersiporocin (DWP12224).
