DX-111 is a preclinical-stage vaccine candidate being developed by Delonix Bioworks for the prevention of Klebsiella pneumoniae infections. The vaccine is built on the company's proprietary OMV Plus platform, which utilizes synthetic biology to produce genetically engineered outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). These vesicles are designed to enhance antigen presentation and immunogenicity by mimicking the natural surface of the pathogen. By presenting a broad array of bacterial antigens in a highly immunogenic format, DX-111 aims to induce a robust and protective immune response against K. pneumoniae, a significant cause of healthcare-associated infections and antibiotic resistance. The candidate is currently in the lead optimization phase of development.
