Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DX-201 is a genetically detoxified pertussis toxin bacterial vaccine being developed by Delonix Bioworks for the prevention of whooping cough (*Bordetella pertussis*). Utilizing the proprietary BioDVax platform, DX-201 is engineered to express a non-toxic version of the pertussis toxin within a bacterial vector. This approach aims to induce a robust and protective immune response while minimizing the toxicity and side effects associated with traditional pertussis vaccines. DX-201 is currently in the lead optimization stage of preclinical development.
