Overview

DX-2400 is a fully human monoclonal antibody designed to selectively inhibit Matrix Metalloproteinase-14 (MMP-14), also known as Membrane Type 1-Matrix Metalloproteinase (MT1-MMP). MMP-14 is a membrane-bound enzyme that plays a critical role in the degradation of the extracellular matrix, a process essential for tumor cell invasion, metastasis, and the formation of new blood vessels (angiogenesis). Developed by Dyax using its proprietary phage display technology and later licensed to Kadmon, DX-2400 was intended for the treatment of various solid tumors. By specifically targeting the catalytic activity of MMP-14, the antibody aims to disrupt the tumor microenvironment and limit cancer progression. Although it showed promise in preclinical oncology models, development appears to have stalled or been discontinued.
