Overview

**DX-4012** is a fully human monoclonal antibody that inhibits **factor XIIa (FXIIa)**, a key component at the crosstalk of the kallikrein-kinin system (KKS) and intrinsic coagulation cascade. Discovered using Dyax's proprietary phage display technology, it demonstrated anti-thrombotic activity in various animal models, supporting its potential in **thromboprophylaxis**. Developed initially by Dyax Corp. (later acquired by Shire/Takeda), the program reached preclinical stages with data presented at the 2015 American Society of Hematology meeting but has since been discontinued.[1][3][5]
