Overview

DXL1218 is a humanized monoclonal antibody designed to target CD47, a cell surface glycoprotein that functions as a "don't eat me" signal to the immune system. By binding to CD47, DXL1218 prevents its interaction with Signal Regulatory Protein Alpha (SIRPα) on the surface of macrophages, thereby promoting the phagocytosis of malignant cells. Developed by Daxinlian Biopharmaceutical, the agent is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for patients with advanced solid tumors and lymphomas. A key design feature of DXL1218 is its potential to reduce the risk of hemagglutination and treatment-induced anemia, which are frequent dose-limiting toxicities for other CD47-targeting therapies.
