Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DXP-604 is a human monoclonal antibody developed by Singlomics Biopharmaceuticals and BeiGene as a neutralizing agent against SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for COVID-19. It targets the spike (S) protein of SARS-CoV-2 and acts by blocking the interaction between the viral S protein and the ACE2 receptor on host cells, thereby preventing viral entry. Preclinical studies have shown that DXP-604 has broad-spectrum antiviral activity with high potency against multiple variants of SARS-CoV-2, including Delta and Omicron. Clinical trials have demonstrated its ability to accelerate recovery in hospitalized patients with mild to moderate COVID-19 symptoms and reduce inflammatory markers in high-risk patients.
