Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Dy-EDTMP** is the non-radioactive dysprosium chelate of ethylenediaminetetramethylene phosphonate, a bone-seeking phosphonate ligand. In the cited murine marrow-ablation study, nonirradiated Dy-EDTMP was prepared as a cold-complex control, whereas the therapeutic investigational in-vivo generator was the distinct radiolabeled **[166Dy]Dy/[166Ho]Ho-EDTMP** system. EDTMP promotes skeletal localization through binding to bone mineral; the radiolabeled isotope-specific product was investigated preclinically for marrow ablation through beta-radiation delivered by dysprosium-166 decay to holmium-166.
