Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DYAI-100 is a novel recombinant protein booster vaccine candidate targeting COVID-19. It consists of the receptor-binding domain (RBD) of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein, produced using Dyadic International’s proprietary C1-cell expression platform—a filamentous fungal-based system designed for rapid and scalable bioproduction. The vaccine is adjuvanted with Alhydrogel 85® 2% to enhance immune response. DYAI-100 has demonstrated robust humoral and cell-mediated immune responses in Phase 1 clinical trials, with a favorable safety profile and no serious adverse events reported. The antigen produced by the C1 platform binds strongly to ACE2 receptors in vitro and has shown strong immunogenicity and antiviral efficacy in preclinical models[2][3][4][5][6][7][8].
