DynaGraft II Dental is a bone graft substitute medical device composed of demineralized bone matrix (DBM) derived from donated human bone tissue. Developed by IsoTis OrthoBiologics (now part of Integra LifeSciences), it is specifically formulated for dental applications such as filling bone voids and promoting regeneration in periodontal or alveolar defects. The product utilizes a unique poloxamer-based reverse phase carrier, which allows the material to be malleable at room temperature and become more viscous at body temperature, thereby minimizing migration from the operative site. The DBM component provides an osteoinductive scaffold containing naturally occurring growth factors, such as bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs), that promote bone repair and regeneration. It is available in gel and putty consistencies and received FDA 510(k) clearance in 2005.
