Drug intelligence / Profile preview
E-GB-60 is an Ayurvedic herbal product developed and marketed by Ergon Pharmaceuticals, a company based in Bangladesh. The product contains 60 mg of *Ginkgo biloba* extract per capsule and is indicated for the treatment of cerebral insufficiency, including symptoms such as memory deficit, depression, and attention loss associated with Alzheimer's disease and multi-infarct dementia. Additionally, it is used to manage vertigo and tinnitus of vascular origin, as well as peripheral vascular diseases like intermittent claudication. Its primary mechanism of action involves the inhibition of platelet-activating factor (PAF) binding to platelets, which leads to reduced platelet aggregation and improved blood fluidity and microcirculation.
