Overview
**E-jiao** (also known as donkey-hide gelatin or *Colla corii asini*) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) prepared by stewing and concentrating donkey hide (*Equus asinus* L.). It is widely used in China as a qi-blood tonic to treat blood deficiency, anemia, dry cough, and bleeding disorders. E-jiao is believed to promote hematopoiesis, enhance immune function, and provide antioxidant and anti-aging benefits. Shandong Huaxin Pharmaceutical Group is one of the manufacturers and developers of approved E-jiao products.
