Drug intelligence / Profile preview
E-ON-001 is an experimental partial reprogramming therapy being developed by 199 Biotechnologies for the treatment of glioblastoma (GBM) and melanoma. The therapy utilizes epigenetic reprogramming factors to modify cancer cell behavior at the epigenetic level, specifically targeting glioblastoma cells to reduce their aggressiveness and reactivate natural cell death pathways. Rather than destroying cancer cells through conventional cytotoxic means like chemotherapy or radiation, E-ON-001 aims to force re-differentiation, induce senescence, and promote natural apoptosis in cancer cells while preserving healthy brain tissue. The therapy is currently in preclinical development, with in-vivo efficacy updates expected in 2026.
