Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**E-VIM vaccine** is an investigational therapeutic cancer vaccine developed by CimCure that targets **extracellular vimentin**, a tumor-vasculature associated antigen, using the company's conjugate **iBoost** platform. The vaccine is designed to induce a humoral immune response against extracellular vimentin on tumor endothelial cells, thereby damaging tumor blood vessels and exerting an anti-angiogenic antitumor effect rather than directly targeting tumor cells. Preclinical and veterinary work with the related lead construct **CVx1** showed induction of anti-eVim antibodies and antitumor activity, and the program has entered human clinical testing in a Phase 1 study in muscle-invasive bladder cancer and localized or locally advanced renal cell carcinoma, including evaluation with or without immune checkpoint inhibition.
